Want to set yourself up for success so you don’t find yourself desperate and heading for the drive-thu? You need a plan.
Here is a simple guide for ensuring your family’s meals are fast and healthy:
- At the beginning of each week (for most people, this is the weekend), draw up a dinner menu for the week – involve the whole family to make it more fun, and try to include one new healthy meal each week (we’ve got plenty to choose from!). Don’t be afraid to repeat your healthy favourites each week – this process doesn’t need to turn your life upside down.
- Shop according to your menu.
- If any of your planned meals require some seemingly laborious preparation (such as chopping veggies), do this on the weekend as well. Store everything in sealed containers in the fridge until you need it.
By taking a little time when you have the energy (i.e. not at the end of a tiring workday), you will be able to literally whip up a quick meal at the end of the day and feel good about it – especially when using the recipes found on this site.
